Leading up to the August 17, 2024 Grand Opening Community Day of this much anticipated section of the Napa Valley Vine Trail, there are a few last weeks remaining of construction. Winding past some of our most famous Napa Valley wineries, through our Napa Valley State Parks, and connecting two of our northerly towns, this section of the VINE TRAIL is taking shape.
After an especially wet rainy season delayed construction, the 8.2-mile Vine Trail section between St. Helena and Calistoga is nearing completion, but is not yet ready for use. A few notable additions you will see include completing subgrade in sections, addition of concrete work for educational signs and shelters, HAWK Pedestrian Signals to ensure safe crossing along Highway 29, and the installation of park tread in sensitive vineyard areas.
This summer, this important section of the VINE TRAIL will be ready to welcome cyclists and pedestrians for a smooth trip through Up Valley.
