Newton Vineyard, founded in 1977 by Englishman Peter Newton, is a unique combination of Place and Philosophy. Peter set his sights high on Spring Mountain's steep hillsides to create a rare, fresh expression of Napa, through committed sustainable practices, pursuing a natural, patient approach in the vineyards and winery.

As a Napa Valley icon winery, Newton's red wines include the hallmark wine The Puzzle, the classic Napa expression Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon and three exceptional single-vineyard Cabernets from the Spring Mountain, Mt. Veeder and Yountville AVAs which will be used as the basis for our custom Vintner Collection blend. Newton also produces the iconic Unfiltered Chardonnay from Carneros.

At Newton, we make wines that are a pure expression of our unique mountain terroir. This 2019 Newton Cabernet Sauvignon is produced in a small batch of three barrels, exclusively for the Vine Trail Vintner Collection. Crafted entirely from fruit grown on one of our rare hillside vineyards in the Yountville appellation, the wine is unfiltered and barrel aged for 18 months. The contrasting soil profile and diverse range of exposures and temperatures bestow the wine with ample, fruit forward aromatics, enhanced by a rich plushness and density in the mid palate, finishing with a silky, mouth-filling structure.
