Alpha Omega, a family-owned, boutique winery on the Rutherford Bench in the heart of Napa Valley, began its journey in 2006 to be recognized as one of the great wine estates in the world. Founded by Robin and Michelle Baggett, Alpha Omega handcrafts Bordeaux-style wines made with prized grapes from its own vineyards and historic vineyards throughout Napa Valley that uniquely express the essence of this famous wine region. Both Alpha Omega's land and winery are Napa Green certified. Surrounded by fountains, vineyards and mountains, the beauty of the modern, farm-style winery is as captivating as its wine.
The unique blend we created for the Vintner Collection comes from our Sunshine Valley Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, which is a cooler site allowing the grapes time to ripen slowly and build aromatics and tannins harmoniously and in balance with the sugars. The deep soils provide a wonderful complexity and structure. When it came to blending, the plethora of different clones planted on the various rootstocks afforded the Alpha Omega winemaking team a rich palate to create this complex, layered wine.
