The VINE TRAILl/Bay Trail project in Vallejo got a $410,180 boost this month with the approval of an Urban Greening Grant to construct a missing 1500 linear feet section along Enterprise Street, Vallejo. The street will have a Class IV two way dedicated bike path and the existing sidewalk will be improved to provide better connectivity to the existing Bay Trail along White Slough and Sonoma Boulevard. 40 oak trees will also be planted to provide shade for future trail users. The grant was a competitive grant application through the Urban Greening Grant program administered by the State of California Natural Resources Agency. The entire 4.2 mile long project from Wilson Avenue to American Canyon is slated for construction in 2022.
