TRAIL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

12/02/2022

Retaining walls are currently being constructed in two locations of the Napa Valley Vine Trail, with more to come in the near future. These walls will prevent erosion from weakening the Vine Trail. The first wall is being erected near the Cal Fire headquarters just south of the Highway 29 trail crossing. The second wall pictured will support the approach to the bridge at the edge of Twomey vineyard, where the trail will begin its run south along the highway.

The tree lined route into the north entrance of Bothe Napa Valley State Park is progressing! Once into the park, the trail will use existing park roads to pass through, before returning to a Class 1 trail to exit the southern end near the Cal Fire station.

The Napa Valley Vine Trail Redwood road. connector has been paved!

After crossing the footbridge you will merge to the right to continue on the new trail segment which will take you directly North to Trancas street.
