The VINE TRAIL is honored to announce that we’ve been awarded $3,500 thanks to Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s Trail Grant Program.
This grant will help the VINE TRAIL to reach out to underserved communities in Napa Valley and Vallejo which are or will be served by the VINE TRAIL. We want to increase the 523,000 users who, in 2020, already took the VINE TRAIL to get to work, school and shop or for exercise. We want not only to connect communities in Napa Valley but also the greater Bay Area through the Bay Area Trails Plan. Our goal is to focus on the thousands of residents in Napa County who work either in agriculture or in service-related jobs in hotels and wineries, who could use the VINE TRAIL as an alternative to driving to work.
Furthermore, as part of the Bay Area Trails Collaborative, this grant will engage our community and establish equitable access to trails in the region. Learn more: railstotrails.org/grants.
