Walk with a Doc -- Crohn's and Colitis Foundation

12/02/2017 9:00am

Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. What better way to start your weekend than on your feet making strides to help your heart and improve your general health to live longer! While you walk at your own pace, you’ll have the opportunity to have questions answered by a local physician.

You are not alone! In fact, approximately 1.6 million Americans have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The two most common forms of IBD are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (UC). The most important things you can do right now are to make your health a priority and be proactive!

Join our Walk with a Doc event on December 2, 2017 at 9am to get moving and honor Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week (Dec 1-7, 2017).  This event will be sponsored by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, OLE Health, and The Napa Valley Vine Trail.  Location: Hartle Court Vine Trail Bike Shelter (behind the Century theater; next to the animal shelter).

Our walk will proceed from the NVVT Hartle Court Shelter to the end of the Cul-de-Sac which leads to the paved Vine Trail. The walk is expected to be 2-3 miles round trip and will take less than 2 hours. Participants will be asked to sign a liability waiver before starting on the walk.

Please use our Facebook event to RSVP. We hope you'll join us!
